The perfect rug

It’s essential to always check the quality of the rug before you buy it. Though Rugs have no moving parts and require very little maintenance, some rugs might need constant touch ups because of poor quality. It’s usually the edges and the fridges that fray with time and need repair. However, it must be remembered at all times that you aren’t just buying a rug but a piece of art that you will walk upon and this must be of a superior quality if you want it to last you long.

It is the handmade rugs which cost thousands of dollars and are used only in the very formal areas. These rugs are too expensive to be walked upon in day to day life. However, it is quite possible to get an “expensive” look with a machine made regular rug as well. These rugs mostly have an oriental design pattern and are better than the Cheap Rugs available very easily which are made of cotton and are hence, not so durable.

These Area Rugs with oriental designs are usually of three main types. The first one has a central medallion which is the most striking feature in this rug and does not have any other pattern around it. The second type has an overall intricate pattern and these are perfect for the classy, formal look without spending too much money. The third type has asymmetrical patterns and these best suit rooms decorated with contemporary design features and which have a cool, casual air about it. It is quite easy to team up any rug design with a traditional look and you may make a bold statement by choosing dark colours or can create a serene effect by choosing colours which blend in to the overall decor and do not over shadow any design element.
